The Dancers' Place has been a Hendricks county institution for nearly thirty years, and has truly been a labor of love for owner Terri Click and her staff. Terri is an Indiana University graduate with a degree in Physical Education and Health and a minor in dance. She began her career at a parochial school teacher in physical education and health, but also operated a small dance studio during that time. As her business grew, she devoted her efforts full time to the studio to the point where Dancers' Place student alumni now total in the thousands.
Terri's very first student, Anita Collier, is the Senior Associate Director at the Dancers' Place. She holds a business degree from Anderson University and together with Terri, manages the operation of the Dancers Place. Many of Terri and Anita's former students are currently instructors at the studio.
The Dancers Place offers instruction at different skill levels in tap, ballet, jazz, tumbling, cheer and yoga. In addition to the annual recital, students perform at community events, area retirement centers, and sporting event halftime shows to name just a few.
The philosophy of the Dancers' Place is to offer students of all abilities the opportunity to integrate the awareness of body, mind, and spirit while studying the physical arts. The discipline, strength, stamina and conditioning skills acquired through their training will provide a strong foundation for healthy lifestyle choices.
